  • The Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs is closed today and tomorrow for the Treaty Day Holiday
  • The Madras Community Food Pantry will be open 10am to 1pm today. It’s located on the Culver Highway.
  • At the Thursday Market today – our usual vendors will be set up 10:30am – 2pm.  That’ includes the Fresh Harvest Kits to the first 30 veggie lovers!  Around the Bend Farms will be on Hand as well with free fresh produce.  The Dental Clinic Bus will be available to see folks and KWSO will be following up on our survey seeking feedback on programming.   The Thursday Marekt – every Thursday at the Campus Pavillion.
  • Pick up for Veggie Rx participants will be at the Thursday Market from 11 am – 2 pm today. Please check in with Barbara at the HDFFA table. And if you are eligible and opted in, delivery will begin around 2:30 pm.
  • The Life Raft Food Pantry in Maupin is open Thursdays from 10AM – 3PM. The Dufur School Pantry is open Thursdays from 4:30-6:30pm in the Home Ec Room. And the Neighbor-to-Neighbor Food Pantry in Wamic is open on the first and third Thursday of the month from 1-4pm.
  • There is a Treaty Day BBQ today, courtesy of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Council. Council will barbecue hamburgers and hotdogs. It will start at 11 and continue until the food runs out at the Community Center Pavillon.

The MountainStar Resource Bus providing diapers, wipes and other supplies for young children will be in the parking lot of the Warm Springs Community Center tomorrow (6/26) from 10:30-2:30. Families that are registered with MountainStar will be eligible for diapers twice a month. For more information call 458-287-1080. The Johnson O’Malley Committee is accepting applications for summer extracurricular activity allowances until tomorrow (6/26) at 11:59pm. These are available for Jefferson County 509J and South Wasco County school district students pre-k through 12 grade for activities in June, July & August. They can be submitted by email to JOM@wstribes.org or dropped off with Naomi Brisbois, Krysta Rhoan, Tashina Smith or Arlena Danzuka. Applications are being taken for a pre-k through 2nd grade summer day camp at the Warm Springs Presbyterian Church. It will run July 6-17 from 9am to 4pm. Applications are available at the Education Building.

Warm Springs OSU Extension’s Summer Fruit Loop Tour is on Wednesday, July 8th. They will depart from the Education Building at 8am and visit several orchards along the Hood River Fruit Loop. Bring a lunch, snacks, water and money for purchasing produce. Transportation is available or you may drive your own vehicle and follow. The “Every Kid Sports Pass” for Fall 2026 is open. They are using a new Pass Portal where families can manage everything from a single dashboard. The application stays open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for the entire application window. You’ll get instant document review and easy status tracking. To qualify, your child must be on SNAP, Medicaid, or WIC, be 4 to 18 years old, and the sport must be recreational, not elite or travel and the season must last at least four weeks. Pi-Ume-Sha 2026 – KWSO 91.9

  • The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Day Powwow is this weekend (6/26-28) in Warm Springs. Grand entry tomorrow is at 7pm. Saturday & Sunday grand entries are at 1pm. For powwow information contact Robinson Mitchell 541-325-2968. Vendors can contact Sharon Katchia 541-295-6046.
  • Treaty Days Indigenous Rez Boxing is coming up Saturday (6/27) 8am to 8pm. It will take place at the old VFW Hall on Hollywood Blvd. For information call Austin Smith Sr. at 541-325-2798.
  • The Pi-Ume-Sha Traditional Parade “Honoring the Horses” is on Saturday (6/27). Lineup for participants will start at 10am with judging at 10:15. The parade begins at 11 at the campus and ends at the powwow grounds. Categories for judging are walkers, traditional & contemporary floats and horse riders with adult, teen and youth divisions.   • The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Open Rodeo is Saturday & Sunday (6/27-28) starting at 1pm both days at the Warm Springs Rodeo Grounds. Admission on Saturday will be $20 per vehicle. Sunday is the Youth Open Rodeo and admission is free.
  • The Azar Spino Memorial Wild Horse Race is happening on Saturday (6/27) at the Pi-Ume-Sha Rodeo. For more information you can contact George Spino 541-300-5906.
