  • There is a Warm Springs Tribal Community Energy Fair today 9am to 3pm at the campus pavilion. They will have interactive energy-focused activities, giveaways and info. Learn about the Tribes’ current & potential energy projects and more. Raffle prizes, including e-bikes & kids-only giveaways and free meals provided by local food carts will be available.
  • The Madras Community Food Pantry at 370 SW Culver Highway is open 10-1 today.
  • Warm Springs Behavioral Health has groups every Wednesday that are open to the public. At 10am is A&D Education in the conference room. At 3 is Building Relationships group. And there is a Wellbriety meeting with book study at 4. Also, on Wednesday afternoons at 4, there’s an A&D Education group for adults and the Youth Wellbriety Program meets. Both of those are for current BHC clients.
  • The “Every Kid Sports Pass” for Fall 2026 opens this morning at 10 online. They are using a new portal where families can manage everything from a single dashboard and there are no more daily cutoffs. The application stays open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You’ll get instant document review and easy status tracking. To qualify, your child must be on SNAP, Medicaid, or WIC, be 4 to 18 years old, and the sport must be recreational, not elite or travel and the season must last at least four weeks.   • Today is Senior Lunch from noon to 1 at the Warm Springs Senior Building. On the menu: taco casserole, guacamole, spring salad mix & canned fruit.
  • Warm Springs Community Health Program has a hand sewing circle that meets every Tuesday at noon in the I H S atrium. Lunch and supplies are provided for participants.
  • SriPonya Collective presents the Brothers & Sisters in Progress Steps to Freedom Re-entry group Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm at the Jefferson County Library in Madras. It’s a peer-led weekly support group where people returning from prison build a healthy support system. There is also a Zoom option to attend. Every 2nd Tuesday the group meets virtually only. A 1-Day Solar Training is being offered tomorrow (6/24) from 10-2:30 at the Greeley Heights Community Building. You can learn all about solar and explore careers in the solar industry. To sign up, email Janaya Brunoe at janaya.brunoe@wstribes.org.

The Pi-Ume-Sha Health Fair is tomorrow (6/24) 9am to 1:30pm on the front lawn of the Warm Springs Community Wellness Center. Everyone is welcome.

Warm Springs Community Health’s mobile medical clinic will be set up at the health fair providing help with medical issues, medications, STI tests and immunizations.

Tomorrow (6/24) is Warm Springs Tribal Appreciation Day at Kah-Nee-Ta Resort. There is free admission for day use from 11am to 7pm. Tribal Appreciation Days are open to tribal members, spouses, Warm Springs residents and tribal enterprise employees and will be held every other Wednesday through September.

The Plateau Travel Plaza has extended its call for tribal artists. Enrolled members of the Warm Springs, Wasco, and Paiute Tribes have an opportunity to showcase unique, unseen arts, crafts, and traditional artifacts. Selected items will be displayed at the Plaza for 3 to 6 months. Artists/families will receive compensation based on the item’s value. Items along with a written description or story about it can be submitted through tomorrow (6/24). You can deliver your item and description to Margie Tuckta in the Indian Head Casino Human Resources Department or email a photo and description to mtuckta@indianheadgaming.com.

Warm Springs OSU Extension’s Summer Fruit Loop Tour is on Wednesday, July 8th. They will depart from the Education Building at 8am and visit several orchards along the Hood River Fruit Loop. Bring a lunch, snacks, water and money for purchasing produce. Transportation is available or you may drive your own vehicle and follow. There will be a Treaty Day BBQ, courtesy of the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal Council, this Thursday (6/25). Tribal Council is barbecuing hamburgers and hotdogs.  It will start at 11 and continue until the food runs out at the Community Center Pavillon.

Pi-Ume-Sha 2026

  • The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Powwow is this Friday, Saturday & Sunday (6/26-28) in Warm Springs. Grand Entry times are 7pm Friday, 1pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday. For powwow information contact Robinson Mitchell 541-325-2968. Vendors can contact Sharon Katchia 541-295-6046.
  • The Pi-Ume-Sha Traditional Parade “Honoring the Horses” is on Saturday (6/27). Lineup for participants will start at 10am with judging at 10:15. The parade begins at 11 on the campus and ends at the powwow grounds. Categories for judging are walkers, traditional & contemporary floats and horse riders in adult, teen and youth divisions.   • The Pi-Ume-Sha Treaty Days Open Rodeo is Saturday & Sunday (6/27-28) starting at 1pm both days at the Warm Springs Rodeo Grounds. Admission on Saturday is $20 per vehicle. Sunday will be the Youth Open Rodeo and admission is free. Books are open through tomorrow (6/24) by sending a message to the Warm Springs Ranch Rodeo Association Facebook page or call/text 541-460-8687.
  • The Azar Spino Memorial Wild Horse Race is happening during the Rodeo on Saturday (6/27). For entry information for this race you can contact George Spino 541-300-5906.
  • Treaty Days Indigenous Rez Boxing is on Saturday (6/27) 8am to 8pm. It will take place at the old VFW Hall on Hollywood Blvd. For information call Austin Smith Sr. at 541-325-2798.
