Winter Weather Delays

JCSD & South Wasco County school districts cancelled school for today (Thursday, Janaury 17, 2019) due to icy road conditions, in the interest of student safety on buses.
The Warm Springs BIA Roads Departments were authorized to report to work to help improve road conditions this morning.
CTWS offices & IHS plan on a 10am start for work to allow driving conditions to improve.

Due to falling snow and expected icy conditions, Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs Tribal offices and the Indian Health Services Clinic will delay opening until 10am on Thursday, January 17, 2019.
Jefferson County 509J schools are on a 2 hour delay as well.
On the Warm Springs Reservation, with Bureau of Indian Affairs employees on furlough, the Roads Department would need authorization to clear roads for the early morning traffic. The decision to delay work and school is in the interest of public safety.
Road conditions will be re-evaluated in the morning. A winter weather advisory is in effect for Central Oregon for snow and ice through Thursday afternoon.
