NO SCHOOL – NO WORK IN WARM SPRINGS

The Jefferson County 509J School District has cancelled school today due to snow. South Wasco County Schools also taking a snow day today. Bend Lapine – Redmond – Crook County – Sisters and Culver have also cancelled school today.

All Central Oregon Community College campuses are closed today.

The Boys & Girls Club of Warm Springs is closed today.

The Bureau of Indian Affairs Warm Springs Agency is closed today.

Confederated Tribes or Warm Springs Offices closed today.

Warm Springs Indian Health Service closed today.

State offices and circuit courts are closed in Deschutes, Jefferson and Crook Counties.

All roads are snow covered this morning.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Central Oregon – in effect until early Wednesday Morning. We can expect as much as 8 more inches of snow in Warm Springs Today. Temperatures tonight will fall to 12 degrees.

Heavy, wet snow in Lane County and other areas of the Southern Willamette Valley have brought down trees and powerlines resulting in many road closures.

U.S. 20 is closed because of an avalanche two miles west of Santiam Pass; crews are working on clearing the avalanche but there is no estimate when the road will reopen.
