SALEM, Ore. (AP) — Oregon’s snowpack is below average heading into April despite snow and cooler weather last month. Areas close to the Columbia River are near-normal for snow pack, but parts of southern Oregon have much lower numbers. Gov. Kate Brown has already declared a drought in Klamath County.

The Warm Springs K8 Academy’s family engagement event this month will explore potential pathways students can choose after high school. It’s open to all K-8 students and their families and will include college and career presentations, fun activities and interactive family stations. College & Career Night is tomorrow at the K-8 Academy – dinner is at 5:00, activities begin at 5:30.

In Madras High School Tennis – the Lady White Buffalo lost to Philomath yesterday 3 to 5. Boys tennis lost too – 6-2 to Philomath

Madras softball is 2-0 in conference play, and 6-3 overall after wins yesterday vs. Molalla. The score was 8 to 3 in the first win; and 20-11 in the makeup game that followed. Madras baseball played at Molalla and now are also 2-0 to start conference play. The Buffs won 13-3. They are 7-3 overall.
