Environmental Health & the Sanitation Department will be on their holiday schedule route next week
- If your trash is picked up on Monday or Tuesday, it will be picked up on Monday only.
- If your trash is picked up on Wednesday or Thursday, it will be picked up on Tuesday only.
- If your trash is picked up on Thursday or Friday, it will be picked up on Wednesday only.
Sanitation drivers will be off on Thursday and Friday. Please let friends and family know.
Sunday 11/24
- Warm Springs Christian Fellowship meets this morning at 10 at the Senior Center.
- The Warm Springs Baptist Church has Sunday School at 10:00 and Worship Service at 11:00 this morning.
- The Warm Springs Food Bank is located at the Presbyterian Church. They are open from 11:30-1:30 today after services. All food banks and pantries do take donations of non-perishable food or cash
- The Warm Springs Warming Shelter will be open tonight at 6pm. They expect to operate through Monday evening when they will re-evaluate the weather forecast.
There will be a Columbia Jacket Giveaway tomorrow through Wednesday at Tribal Social Services. Tomorrow and Tuesday the giveaway starts at 8:30, is closed for lunch and open again at 1pm. On Wednesday they will be open 8:30 until 11:30. For More information you can call Martha at 541-553-3415.
There is no school in the Jefferson County 509 J district this week for the Thanksgiving Week Break. Warm Springs Head Start will also be closed this week for Thanksgiving Break, All other Early Childhood Education programs will be open.
There is a Victim Impact Panel November 26 from 6-7:30pm at the Warm Springs Baptist Church. Community members are welcome to attend and listen.
A Name giving ceremony for Lenora Kim Starr and Tyree Lindy Starr will be taking place at the HeHe Longhouse on Saturday November 30th starting at 10am, with a meal to follow. Family and Friends are welcome and Drummers are requested.
The Warm Springs Health and Promotion Prevention Initiative (HAPPI) is coordinating items for distribution in December. The HAPPI Holiday goal is to provide families in need with gifts during the Holiday season. If your family could use assistance in providing for your children this holiday season, you can complete an application for each child up to 18 years of age. The applications do need to be completed by the legal parent/guardian with physical custody of children who reside on or near the Warm Springs reservation. Completed applications should be turned in at the Warm Springs Library at the Family Resource Center by Friday December 6th. Gifts will be available to be picked up on Thursday December 19th 9am-7pm and Friday December 20th 12-5pm at the Warm Springs Youth Center Gym (Old Elementary school).
The Madras High Girls basketball team is currently holding a fundraiser through December 2nd. They have catalogues to view at the High School, you can order from one of the players OR you can visit their online store at www.fancloth.shop/P8VEV . You can make an appointment for the Warm Springs I.H.S. Podiatry Clinic by calling 541-553-2610. If you need to be seen right away you can also opt for a Podiatry Nurse Assessment by coming in to the I.H.S. clinic before 3pm
Become a SMART Reader. SMART stands for “start making a reader today” and is a volunteer program that pairs readers with 1st grade students in Warm Springs – On Thursdays from 4-5pm at the Warm Springs K-8 Academy after school 21st Century Learning Program. Students in need of school supplies can pick some up at the Warm Springs Library in the Family Resource Center. Basic supplies are available to students during the library’s regular business hours.
