509J Summer Meal Program

The Jefferson County Summer Food Program will offer open meal sites to youth 18 and Younger in Warm Springs at the Warm Springs K8 with the Boys & Girls Club – with Breakfast from 8-8:45 and Lunch from noon to 12:30.

Meals will also be served at the Kids Club of Madras with Breakfast from 8-8:30 and Lunch 11:15-12.  The Program will run June 20th thru the end of July (there will be no meal service July 4th and 5th.)

And the Meal Schedule will change in August to accommodate summer school sessions.

There are some important changes that will happen with Summer Meal services this year with pandemic protocols having changed/

CHANGES INCLUDE:

  • Parent(s)/ Guardians will no longer be able to pick up meals on behalf of their children
  • Students/participants must be present to receive a meal and remain onsite when consuming their meal (food items may not be allowed offsite) and
  • Multiple meals will not be served at one meal service

While the impact of this change may affect each participant and their families differently, we remain committed to serving healthy meals in a safe and friendly environment.
