- There is an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting this morning at 10 at Community Counseling.
- Reburial services are taking place this morning for ancestral remains returning to the Columbia River from New Zealand. Services will begin at 10am at Wishxam Cemetery in Dallesport, Washington. A meal will follow at the Celilo Longhouse.
- The Madras Downtown Business Association is having a fundraising Chili Cook Off today from 2-6pm at the Mission Church, 178 SW 5th Street in Madras.

- The Warm Springs K-8 Academy is celebrating school pride next week with Spirit Week dress up days. Monday is Hat Day. Tuesday is Comfy Day, Wednesday Sporty Sports Day. Thursday is Mismatch Day. And Friday will be Eagle Spirit & School Pride Day.
Warm Springs Higher Education reminds students who plan to apply for the Tribal Scholarship that the Tribal Scholarship Early Bird deadline is May 1st – students who turn in application packets by this date will be eligible for certain school supplies. The regular deadline is July 1st. Talk to Carroll at the Higher Ed office for more information.
Caldera’s 2019 Open Studios featuring its Artists in Residence and students is coming up on February 23 from 12:30-3:30pm. Artist will share their work with the public. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. The Caldera Arts Center address is 31500 Blue Lake Drive in Sisters. Jefferson Greene from Warm Springs is one of the featured artists.
The Jefferson County School District 509-J has two positions opening for its Board of Directors. Anyone interested in running for Positions #4 and #5 in the May 21st vote-by-mail Special Election must file a declaration of candidacy or petition for nomination for office with the Elections Department of Jefferson County no later than 5pm on March 21st. The forms are available at the County Clerk’s office in Madras and online on the Jefferson County website or Secretary of State’s website.
2019 Warm Springs Nation Little League – baseball, softball and t-ball – registrations are being taken weekdays from 8am to 4:30pm at the Community Center. Baseball and softball tryouts will be March 19-21. The final deadline is March 29th. Practices begin April 1st. Managers and coaches are still needed. FMI: 541-325-3856.
Tuesdays & Thursdays for the next two weeks before Tribal Council Election Day, Agency District Candidates are hosting a “Talk with the Candidates” opportunity with voters from 9:30-3:30 at the Tribal Administration Building. Everyone is invited to stop by.
The Miss Warm Springs Pageant is on March 27th at 6pm at the Agency Longhouse. Persons who want to run for the Miss Warm Springs title should submit applications by 5pm on March 22nd to be eligible. The Warm Springs Area Chamber of Commerce will hold its first annual gathering on March 26th from 6-9pm at the Community Center.
