Construction is this week on pressure reducing valves in five stations in the Warm Springs water distribution system.  To accomplish this work – water will need to be turned off at each station – while the work is being done.  This will result in low water pressure and water outages.   Today they are scheduled to begin working on the Catholic Church Station, impacting Miller Heights and all of the campus area. Also on the scheduled are the George Street station, impacting Upper Dry Creek, Forestry/Industrial Park, Miller Heights, residents on Mecca Flat Road (above Casino), homes along Highway 26 west of the Casino and possibly the campus area, and then the West Hills & Greeley Heights stations.

The boil water notice remains in effect until further notice for all of the Warm Springs Agency area including Kah-nee-ta, Wolfe Point, Sunnyside, Upper Dry Creek, Miller Heights, Campus area, West Hills, Tenino Valley, Tenino Apartments, Elliott Heights, Senior Housing, Trailer Courts, and Greeley Heights.

Widespread connectivity issues have been plaguing Oregon state government agencies, according to a release from the state issued Monday.  A problem with “some network infrastructure hardware” has been causing latency issues for the state’s executive, legislative and judicial branches since Friday morning, according to the alert. The problem — whatever the origin — is causing issues with phone lines, call centers and online services, according to multiple statements from various government agencies. A banner along the top of some Oregon.gov websites reads: “Intermittent network connectivity issues may delay accessing state websites and call centers. ”

A chip seal project started last month along Highway 20 between Hampton and Burns will continue through August. Construction started mid-July in Burns and was at Riley last week as it moves west towards Hampton, the end of the work area. The chip seal work is expected to be completed by mid-August, followed by striping and other work in late August and possibly part of September. Motorists should expect delays of up to 20 minutes, traffic controlled by flaggers and pilot cars, loose rock on the roadway, reduced speeds, and day and nighttime brooming operations. Please be patient, slow down and plan extra travel time along Highway 20.

The Warm Springs Fish & Wildlife Committee is holding a public meeting this Thursday on the 2019 hunting regulations. Wildlife biologist Austin Smith, Jr.:
